I am moving in a month, either to Spokane or Eugene. Washington has WSU and Oregon has OSU, both schools I'd like to go to. I realize WSU is in Pullman and OSU in Corvallis, I will have a year to establish residency and figure may as well do it somewhere I am likely to find work.

Anyways, I dislike call centers but they pay the bills and tend to be everywere. I have a good amount of experience with them as well. I know I can find work in Spokane, but I prefer Oregon. Are there a decent amount of call center type jobs in Eugene? I've done customer care, dispatch, and collections. Prefer to not do collections, but rent doesn't pay itself.

Either way, I'll have enough in savings to get me by for a little while. Just wondering what the job market is like for a person in my shoes, still working towards a 4 year degree.

Well, first I would make sure that that will be enough to get you residency.

I have seen job postings for call centers in Eugene. Enterprise and Royal Caribbean seem to be the two biggest ones.

They tend to hire weekly. They also tend to fire more often. My granddaughter and husband survive doing call center work. (They just survive) They have changed jobs a dozen times though.

Enterprise has a "No Tattos" visable policy. It isn't in writing, but they have one.
