This is too funny. This thread has more legs than a centipede. I think the last posters got the flavor of the "The Whit". Don't forget Sam Bonds, and Most of Blair St.. The AA NA Jesco Club is cool too.

I like calling it "the whit". Maybe I spent too much time in California. That seems to be what Californians do to everything... shorten the main word and put "the" in front of it. Like how they say "the 5" for I-5, etc. I remember the first time somebody in California referred to us as "the fam". I thought they were saying "the fan". I am hearing impaired and wasn't used to how Californians talk and I kept thinking they were talking about a fan. Huh?? You want us to bring a fan over to your house? I don't get it... I mean, it was hot and everything, so I thought that was just something California people did... like BYOB only bring a fan, too. lol

"The Whit" has a lot of Californians. In fact many are what is wrong with Oregon today.

Not that there is that much wrong with Oregon.

Maybe it has Californians, I have no idea unless you mean Mexicans, but it has some of the most "Eugene" people in the whole city

Yes. It is not cool here. I wish some boring hardworking Mexicans would move in and open more businesses.
