could I get some info? I was hoping to find somewhere near Coos Bay, but after corresponding to their hospital they told me that Eugene would suit my needs better. I am wanting to rent a small house for a few years in the country. Could you please tell me some of the laws regarding dogs in the area? I am more interested in bans and insurance hassles. thank you for your time.

Default Pit bulls

Springfield (which is basicly connected to Eugene, they have grown tightly together) tried to outlaw pitbulls but didn't get it done.Go to the Lane County website and look at animal regs.Insurance companies will often not insure houses with certain breeds, varies per company.Good luck finding a rental that will take dogs, they will make getting rental insurance a qualification.I believe we have a law that makes rentors take pets if they are certified by a DR. as necessary for mental health.Than they insist on the insurance and it can be difficult and pricey to get if you have a breed they object to.

Thank you, I have not been on here for a few days due to health reasons, but you have answered my questions for the most part. I find it a shame that dogs get a bad rep. due to the way they were raised. I do have a staffordshire bull terreir and boxer mix by the way. The only way he would be a service animal for me would to be pulling be in my chair..LOL.. and that is rather funny to see.

Thank you very much for your time
