Hello i am looking into moving to Eugene for a fresh start and want to make a trip there. I am looking into cheap motels with cheap monthly rates. If anyone has any information please let me know! Or it can be any of the surrounding areas! Please and thank you!

A son just moved out of Oregon, left his job (got transfer) for home in New England. It's a cool little city but can feel enclosed and cut off after a while esp if you're not from there. If you need a job, they may be scarce, so try to line up one before moving. Small studio apt can cost $800 or more plus utilities, being a college town.

What about Salem? Is it any better? Jobs wise? Housing wise?

There are more jobs in Salem, especially government jobs but they are a little hard to get. Salem is a bit more expensive than Eugene as well.
