There are no places with cheap rent in Eugene Springfield, although Springfield will cost slightly less than Eugene.

You need to find A different state for both of these.there's a good reason there's so many firearm shops. There's a very nice one in Springfield.Or try dogs if you'd rather. But cheap andsafe?

I am happy I moved to Springfield 3 years ago. There certainly are safe nice neighborhoods. I don't need a gun. Maybe a dog as a pet but not necessary for protection.

Sometimes I wonder...

Has there ever been an OP on C-D wanting to move to a place that is:

unsafe
expensive
with poor schools
far from amenities like restaurants, entertainment, shopping

?

There was a long thread awhile back about people wanting to move to Klamath Falls Estates. That certainly checks off 3 out of your 4!

People certainly look for areas that are "gritty", "educated" (correlates with expensive areas), and/or "quaint". No one looks for bad schools, I guess, but I'm in my mid-20s with no kids so I don't care what the schools are like.
