Last fall I drove down to Siuslaw Falls, but it being the end of the dry season, there were only one or two small cascades of water. I actually parked my camera tripod on a spot that would otherwise have been under water.

What I'd like to know now is if there's more water today. Is it worth another drive? This would typically be the ideal time to go., but it been such a dry February.

I think I have been to Siuslaw Falls several times. I don't think I have ever seen more then a small cascade of water in it. But I usually go in the dry season too. I'm sure are there would be more water now, even with the dry weather. But I don't know how much.

Default Update - This is what it looked like at the end of June this year.

For anyone else who might be reading this thread and wondering, I went back to Suislaw Falls County Park a few days ago. As most of you know we enjoyed a wetter than usual June this year so the trip was well worth the drive, but for all I know even at the end of just an average late spring there would have been enough water.

Here's my new Flickr album.

Link.

For the last shot, I waded out into the stream with my camera tripod and worked while two tiny fish investigated my toes and feet. Considering that they were likely only a few days old, my feet must have been the most fascinating things they'd seen yet in all their young lives.
