Just wondering if anybody has any info on Hill House apts. It's right next to Kincaid Park and not far from Amazon (apparently... google Earth makes it seem close enough). Also, Ellis Parker Elementary? Any info would be welcome. Thanks.

I'm not much help at all, I'm sorry, I don't know anything about those apartments or that school... but there's a website you can try checking out - apartmentratings.com... sometimes the reviews there are a bit misleading, though, as lots of people seem to kind of write awful things. Apartments are apartments, you know?

But if by Amazon you mean they are by the Amazon pool or park, then I would think that would be a fun area of Eugene to live in, especially if you have a kiddo and are into natural foods. Sundance is right there - probably my favorite natural foods market in the world - and during Summer's the Amazon Pool is lots of fun. It's one of Eugene's two outdoor pools, and it has slides and water features and even a little sandy area and the kids just love it.

Also at the Amazon park during the Summer's you have free movie's in the park and FFA (fun for all) events and travelling artists and things like that. Those things happen all over Eugene, but being so near Sundance and the fun Amazon Pool would make for some great summers.

For school info try the 4J lane website, or I think it's goodschools.net or schools.net?

Also know that Eugene has open choice. You can choose to have your child attend any school within the district as long as there is space for them. Otherwise there is a lottery/waiting list.

Good luck!
