Does anyone have stories about drug activity in the SW Eugene Area? And no I'm not referring to marijuana.

That's a pretty drug free part of town. What streets are we talking?

It seems like the Whitacre (around Skinner's Butte) and the West Eugene (around 4 corners area) areas are the ones with more drug problems, aren't they? SW Eugene seems pretty clean. Downtown? Has anything improved since the new ordinance went into effect? Not sure...

You guys know about the police maps? I think it's supposed to update every 15 minutes and shows local police/crime activity... Eugene police call log (beta) | The Register-Guard

To be fair, they are everywhere to some degree, and it matters what part of the SW area you are talking about. In general though, the southern areas, and anything in the Hills are going to be the nicest parts of town.

They don't have a drug problem in Eugene OR any more. Those guys all take what ever they can get a hold of and then lay down and pass out so no problem.

Heh. I'm looking at the Springfield page and it reminds me of that show "Reno 911." Stripclub fights, bizarre attacks, all that good stuff.

A caller reported she suffered an asthma attack while bagging groceries. The caller said someone helped her out to her car, and then she realized her purse was missing.

1000 block Harlow Road
Tuesday, March, 17, 2009
17:23:00
Two men and a woman, who was holding a tire iron, were seen fighting in a parking lot.

100 block West E Street
Friday, March, 13, 2009
16:37:00
A caller reported hearing a single gunshot, then seeing a seagull fall out of a tree.

Fairview Drive and Mill Street
Tuesday, March, 17, 2009

A caller reported that a man was setting animal traps along a ditch near a bike path.

1200 block 37th Street
Wednesday, March, 11, 2009

A caller reported that a man jumped out of the back of a pickup and menaced a pedestrian with an ax

This is definetly Springfield's reputation right here.

Are you crazy or just joking around? There is nearly zero drug activity in SW Eugene.
