I am going to be moving to Eugene in July this year, and am planning to begin some house-hunting trips in the next few months. I've found this forum extremely helpful regarding neighborhood information; however, on a cursory review of the forum topics, I didn't see much on the topic of public transportation in Eugene.

My significant other's eyesight is diminished enough that he cannot qualify for a driver's license. So, he is very reliant on combination of bicycle transport and public transport...

So, with that in mind, are there any neighborhoods in Eugene with better access than others?

Practically all parts of Eugene have basic good access to bus transportation. None necessarily better than others. All have bicycle racks. (Lane Transit District)

You may want to check out the Lane Transit District map for bus routes and service frequency. Generally speaking, the service is best in the downtown and campus areas, but other areas have decent service too. I live within walking distance from the downtown bus terminal, and sometimes go a week or more without driving. Note that the service in Springfield will improve considerably with the opening of a new EmEx (bus rapid transit) line there.
