I will be visiting Eugene to find a place to live at the beginning of June. I've inquired in this forum before about where to look for rental homes, and Craigslist seems to provide the most abundant listings.

Where should I look within Eugene for rental listings for those landlords that aren't internet-savvy enough to use Craigslist or some other classifieds? I'm thinking back to my college days when I found a house by either cruising neighborhoods or checking notice boards at local hangouts and coffee shops. Can I expect the same thing in Eugene, and where should I look, given my time is limited and I need to work as efficiently as possible?

If you don't want to go through a Property Management company (you can google property management rentals eugene and you'll find several with online listings), you could try checking the Eugene Weekly classifieds, the classifieds in the newspaper (Register Guard (http://www.registerguard.com/web/news/index.csp - broken link)), and in town you can check bulletin Boards outside of places like Sundance Natural Foods, The Grower's Market, Red Barn, etc.

There's a lot of rentals right now. Just driving around town I'm sure you'll find several. Good luck!

You can also try the University of Oregon's Student Union housing info link. A lot of old school landlords use the student union board on campus, literally. Most of them now pay the fee to put them online, but still, if you're in town in June it can't hurt to swing by the ASUO office in the ERB Memorial Building on campus and check the board. Besides, its a great to walk through campus in June!

Another great place to check is the Oregon Daily Emerald classifieds online, it is the daily newspaper for the UO, and landlords always try to fill up summer and long term rentals by offering sweet deals in there during June
