???????. ??????????

Immigration from non-CIS countries, 1997-2010:

50265 46523 36644 32769 19474 16672 15023 13669 14129 15529 23679 20444 18412 19716

Emigration to non-CIS countries:

89312 85260 89730 65210 60935 55550 48876 43518 34380 19392 16287 13966 12132 12372

Since 2007 almost twice more people immigrate - and most of them are of course Russians, who return.

Germany is the absolute leader in attracting immigrants from Russia - most of whom are ethnic Germans.

I don't know how many "ethnic Russians" are among them exactly, but if they are citizens of the Russian Federation and they've left Russia starting from the nineties, practically all of them are still having Russian passports, even if they are already citizens of another country. It's not all that easy to get rid of Russian citizenship - it's quite a bureaucratic procedure and it's costly. However if you don't have patience to go through it and you are not ready to shell out few hundred dollars - Mr. Putin still counts you for a Russian citizen, whether you like it or not, sorry.

That's a huge if, because most "Russians" abroad were born abroad.

Roughly half of Russia's immigrants come from Abhkazia, Georgia, Vietnam and China, not western countries. The only other countries with which Russia has positive net migration numbers are Afghanistan, Greece, Turkey and the Baltic states. The drop in emigration is impressive but let's not make it like Russians are coming back in massive numbers.

The wealth he's trying to get out of the country before the tax examiner finds it. Someone already posted a link to that on another thread. If you don't think he has wealth, you're incredibly naive.

As I've posted many times before, the US Embassy was handing out visas to Russians like candy in the 90's. And they're still handing out visas. The West Coast and NY, which already had established Russian communities, were engulfed by this huge exodus from Russia. I would return from Russia each year and find myself wondering if I'd ever left, there were so many Russians on the buses, in the grocery stores, everywhere Russian was being spoken. I would say at this point that most Russians in the US are these newer arrivals. Only a very few of them were Kavkazic, or other nationality.

"Born abroad?"
Have no idea what you are talking about, because they were not allowed to leave the country starting approximately from the 20ies of the last century.
No, the majority of ethnic Russians living abroad arrived there en mass starting from the 90ies and were not "born abroad."

There was also the massive Jewish emigration in the 80's. The sheer numbers of the emigrations in the 80's and 90's have completely replaced the small numbers that came to the West after the revolution, and had kids.

I know about it, but ROL insists on "ethnic Russians" only, so...

Russia online has no clue. Come to new York Chicago or Miami and talk to these born abroad Russians. Lol. Its not that easy to come to America anymore hence these mail order bride websites peddling fresh Russian meat to the westerners. Lol
