Often, no. You just leave it somewhere on the street. When I had a car and lived in an area with no parking lot, I sometimes had to leave my car some 200 meters away from my house, as there wasn't place closer on the street. Especially in older cities finding somewhere to park can be quite tricky, and often people choose not to have a car.

They're not really cool at all. Sometimes you can smell the nasty food they're cooking underneath, or hear the screaming of drunk and violent bar-goers at 3am in the morning. Just buy a normal apartment that isn't above an establishment.

Oh, there we go;
An answer worthy the true nature of British character))))
(And then they say there is no such thing as "national character.")
Now let me put to rest all the red flags that went up in response to this kind of unwanted intrusion into your privacy;
I am not asking for your family name, I am not asking about your family situation or your private affairs or job for Christ sake. I am not even asking the name of the city where you live, I just want to know how far are you from the center of the city ( no wait, I am asking for the name of the city, don't I?)))
That's a no-no thing, so never mind then))))

That's right, and since every Brit subconsciously works for MI-16, I see a problem right there...

Just understood why KGB never were a real threat for James. They were looking for the wrong number.

They knew my number ( phone number that is) - I can tell you that much.
(Of course I was not laughing back then.)

When I hear the word "France," I think of the most awesome perfumes/lotions in the world and god-sent fashions and cosmetics.
Eiffel Tower comes distant third, after escargot.
What you are talking about, is not even on the radar, and I've seen enough of the French.
