Is British and American pop music dominant in Europe? Having never traveled there, I don't know but when watching European movies, the soundtracks seem to include mostly English language pop music. What percentage of play on European pop music radio stations would you say is English?

Different radio stations differently, but on the average about 70-80% though there are radio stations on which English-speaking music (not British, but American) essentially doesn't sound in general.

British singers and bands are more popular across the world than I originally envisaged. Adele is a global superstar.

I was run on radio stations... Really, some stations put Adele with Skyfall on the fourth place of the charts (different stations, not high, not low, 4 only), but... thats all, unfortunately in a top-sheets didn't find other British.

It's actually different for each country. I know that Denmark has Danish pop stars that sing in English like "Nabiha". I also know that radio stations here in Milan seem to be less inclined to play English music than other European cities.

I'm aware, but I was still surprised by how popular our music is. I was never aware of how big Coldplay are abroad. Sweden is third BTW.
