I'm going to spend some time in Berlin this summer, but will be arriving via Madrid with three days in the city to spare (hey, when you find a $450CAD fare from Cancun to Madrid...why not stop?????). Is there anything cool happening in the meantime? I think there's a couple Madrileños in here, so I figured I might get more insight than just Googling events in May.

Also really wanna try orejas a la plancha if you know a good bar...

Thanks!

"Orejas a la plancha" refers to the act of sleeping. Bars, there are 10.000 bars...

Madrid, the brave city
With more than 1000 bars and only one bookstore

That was 500 years ago, now there are more bars and maybe four bookstores.

One block from the Metro San Bernardo you'll find c/Sandoval. On the corner of San Bernardo and Sandoval is a bar called Los Chicos. Famous for their oreja del la plancha and their zarajos. They have another bar same name near La Moncloa I think it's on Fernandez de los Rios. Bar Dominguez at c/Narvaez and Sainz de Baranda in el barrio Niño Jesus.

Those days are bank holiday (1st and 2nd) so maybe it will be less crowded as usual by locals. But it is a good time to do sightseeing.
You can walk around Retiro, Palacio de Oriente and sorroundings and eat some tapas in El Tigre. I'll try to find events and I tell you.
