I am a mod in another forum, and have been told that a poster's name is a phonetic spelling of an offensive Croat language slang term. Since we have other reasons for doubting the good will of this particular poster, I am wondering if we have any native Croat speakers who might take a look and see if they can read anything from it. Jic, I'll wait on sharing the phrase until I get a positive answer, as I'm not sure it would be "graceful" to just put it up, all things considered.

It's my fourth language but my dad taught me all the colorful terms first. You can PM me or wait for Croat Web Wanderer to show up, he's native and currently residing in Croatia the last I heard from him.

I got a suggestion to use Google translate - but we already tried that - and we think it is slang, anyway! I use Google trans for Russian, and I know when it gets the least slangy, accuracy drops way off.

I've sent the users name via pm to responders - and thank you. I don't want to seem paranoid - but jic it IS a less than polite term - I don't want to give out ideas - and sharing might be offensive - who know - the original user may have not been malicious - I really don't know!

TY!

Ok, it was indeed a vulgar expression, masked by swapping syllables. Problem solved - OP check your inbox.
