Trying to attack the other country in order to make a favorable impression of your own is NOT a good start..
I understand that, and that is not what I am trying to do at all here. I am simply surveying people's perception of why Turkey is not considered European. I am trying to understand why it is (primarily) that many Europeans don't consider Turkey to be Europe. This is true, regardless of what they consider Georgrians to be.
In fact I think there are many merits for which Turkey could be considered European. I am interested in what their predominant opinion is. That's all.
Religion. Christianity defines Europe as an entity historically, even if many don't really practice the faith today, European culture is based on Judeo-Christian ethics and culture.

But see, SOME people consider Turkey European enough to join the E.U, yet you are casually excluding them kinda, stating matter-of- factedly that oh, it's understood that it's not European, so I only want to know your opinion WHY is it not European.
Not only that, but you innocently help everyone, defining the reasons why you don't consider Turkey European and offer everyone to vote for your reasons. C'mon, leave at least a free option, something like "other opinion/ideas" just to be more...err.. no, how should I put it - to be less obvious))))
Something something Turkic something something Islamic something something brown eyes and brown hair.
Classical prejudices against Turkey
Dude we all not have brown hair and brown eyes. we mixed. there are plenty of people who look like arabs
and plenty of people who look like Scandinavian.
I myself am sure that my look is more europeaner than many city data users
anyway about the question. No matter what european people think of, the important thing is what we as Turks think of where we belong to. we dont define themselves as we are a european nation.
Culturally and historically we are in between europe and asia. so we are a eurasian country.
