Southern vs Northern European women, generalised differences (people, German, Portuguese)

When it comes to persona (yes, don't need to lecture me that everyone is different with their own personality , but some personality types tend to be more common in some countries), dating convention, style.etc. How do countries like Spain, Italy, France compare to say, Britain, the low countries, Germany, Scandinavia.etc?
For those with experience in both, where is it easier to date/have a relationship, especially if you're non-European? Would you say northern Euro women are more open/forward? Then again it's reserved. It seems somewhere like Italy is still quite traditional in this regard, yet one hears about Latin passion and all that crap lol.
Yes, northern Euro women tend be more forward (although there is little difference between French and Germanic in this regard) than Spanish/Portuguese, who in turn are more forward than Italian. Just my anecdotal observations which are not scientific by any means...
I always recalled what a Sicilian friend told me about dating/sitting on some girl:
1) In Sicily he was used to entering into a conversation without knowing either the girls or the argument, touch/gesture is less reserved and people much more open.
2) In Northern Italy, as far as I know living here, people are much more reserved. If I entered randomly into a conversation, I'd be stared at and nicknamed a "stalker/idiot/who-the-hell-wants-you-here".
Then, it seems to me that in most people remains the idea that Southern Europe= Catholicism, Inquisition, Burn at Stake.
Guys, Italy, despite apparences/Church and pope, is one of the less religious countries in the world regarding people (because we have laws not enacted yet because of Church opposition).
I don't know ONE young guy who truly believes in the Church and in the Pope.

Interesting. I went to Italy, and I feel the language/culture difference was more of a barrier there too. So Italian women aren't actually very forward?
