Portugal however was independent of everyone since 1143!

Spain didnt exist... it was many kingdoms of what is now Spain. Spain, as a country only started in the late 1400s

It was just a kingdom in the Iberian peninsula vassal to the kingdom of Leon (there were many kingdoms), not a "country".

Iberia Union was bad for Brazil because the enemies of Spain (England, Holland and France) started attack Brazil (kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarve) to harm king Filipe included northeast Brazil was taken by Netherlands as his colony in that time so was supported by Brazilians the dynasty of ‘’house of Braganças’’ took back the control the kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarve from Castile.

Castile did not take Aragon, it was a confederacy that started in 1492.

Decreto de la Nueva Planta was a legislation enacted by Felipe V (Borbons) in 1715 to "centralize" Spain, as Spain in 1715 was a confederation of kingdoms with their own laws and languages. Aragonese spoke Castilian, la Fabla and Catalan at that time. Catalans, which was part of Aragon since Concilio de Caspe, Catalan as the official language and Occitan, not counting that each region had their own parliament of medieval origin.

In fact, it was a "French style" legislation to transform a medieval country into a modern one, nationalists think otherwise..but in fact that was the original intent in 1715.

At that time, everything medieval was considered ugly, old, not "groovy"...

Picture below is around year 1000, I believe. Green is Muslim. Castile did not exist, Catalonia was part of the Frankish empire and Aragon just a few mountains.

Yes I'm familiar with the content of your last two posts the green color on the map identifies the Taifas.

The information you posted on the Decreto de la Nueva Planta is also correct.

I'm not sure why you think any of that contradicts my point.
