What a "horror" story. Good that the country which has the best healthcare in the world extinguish itself against a barbarian social darwinist "healthcare" rogue culture called the United States of America.
"Each for himself, I don't have any compassion towards anyone, let the poor people die, that's liberty", says the American.

That is what I don't like about France. I'm not sure how they do this in other countries, though...
Why do I even have the card when I have to pay them anyway and just get reimbursed later? I have a card and I just give it to them, they scan it and return it. They bill the insurance company for everything.
Of course there may be some waiting times, as outlined in the article. When nobody can afford to go to the doctor, they sure as heck have a lot of appointments available.
And they only reimburse you for 70% of the cost? What about the other 30%? Need additional insurance? There are several other E.U. countries that directly bill the insurance and don't do it like that. I would hardly call this superior to other E.U. health care systems. It's the opposite.
No, France does not. If anything, you are talking about health care system..but not health care. Of course the U.S has the best, or one of the best, healh care options. But that is not a surprise when you have to pay so much for health care. They are able to pump much more money into everything because of that. The problem here is that it is not accessible to many people.
If I had cancer, I would want to go to M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas. But needless to say that this would come with a huge price tag.
I don't really get your problem with insurance and yes Healthcare in US is excellent (it will enough to say that US got 71 Nobel prize for Medicine while the Whole Western Europe 78 (90 including Scandinavia and excluding Eastern Europe) but nonetheless European healthcare is in the top, probably the TOP considering the whole EU.
The funny thing is that France has the best healthcare in the world, far ahead of US.
Plus, the easiness with which European Countries are labelled as "Socialist" make me wonder if Americans study philosophy and law.
Well, but this just shows you didn't read the article and see that this title doesn't relate to it. There is no "horror story". This is an extremely misleading and purely sensationalist title. Why would you use a title like that? Can't you come up with your own?
The US in a few years may well look like what this woman describes in France: ads for insurance companies on buses and billboards. The only missing piece in our system is the guaranteed gov't coverage of a minimum service, though that's coming to the US as well, with the expansion of Medicaid.
