Yes, i would. Especially Canada, but the upper North Eastern parts of the US (Maine, Vermont) or Washington state sound nice too.

I'm about to move to the States. To Texas.

I've lived in different parts of Europe and will definitely miss some things, like having 4 seasons, being able to travel to Rome, Paris, London in a couple of hours and being surrounded by liberal intellectuals. But that's it.

It will be difficult to keep my German citizenship, but I'll try to.

Sure, at least to give it a try. I know like-minded people who are there (CA) and like it. I'd probably prefer US (CA,CO,NM,AZ) over Canada mainly because of the climate. I'm not sure I would even want US citizenship, it sounds like rushing into a marriage. I would prefer a place with somewhat open minded people, capable of having discussions/opinions that are not only black or white: huge number of people there look like they are strongly divided around any issue. But of course, you don't need to be friend with everybody, a few are enough and they can be found pretty much everywhere.

Oh, and most people I know don't really want to move to US (US has a pretty bad image right now as the greedy bullies of the world who pretend to have values of freedom and compassion) but to Canada (or Australia) yea, pretty much.

I miss things about San Diego but I would not move back to the USA.
Canada maybe.

Owen, not every country in Europe is the UK Austria is one of the several European countries that do not recognize dual citizenship. Doesn't matter if he moved to the US, UK, Sweden, France, etc. Austria does not allow its citizens to hold multiple citizenships

Except when you are filthy rich and/or famous. Like Schwarzenegger or Netrebko.
