I am trying to learn of the best options to move 400 to 800 pounds oftools and clothing from Louisville, Kentucky US to Europe-Slovakia

I know there are companies that will handle door to door delivery for ahigh price, but I would like to learn of more economical methods.

Should I handle land delivery to a US sea-port, then pay for sea-shipping,then arrange for land delivery to Slovakia from Europe sea-port?

Or is there an economical way to ship door to door?

American tools are useless over here because of the metric system so things like wrenches, screwdrivers are not usable. Better stash them in a storage locker somewhere. And don't forget to pay the rent otherwise storage wars will come and auction your stuff.

Americans use metric tools as well as imperial. In fact metric is more common since the U.S. doesn't manufacture much anymore. True the imperial would not be worth bringing.

There could be a problem with power tools. The voltage in Europe is twice that of the voltage in the United States, and while many electronics are designed to adapt to voltage changes, it is crucial to check. If the device is not capable of handling 220V of electricity, it will fail. In addition, some electrical devices cannot handle the lower 50 hertz cycle found in much of the world, and may experience difficulties.

BTW: tools are not very expensive in Europe.

Every *offer* always *seems* high, but after comparing many *offers* you just take the best one, which has the best service and *International* experience.
