Hello everyone. I am an undergrad student in Canada and I plan to move to one of these 2 locations after I graduate.

Would you mind telling me a bit of either location? Which would you recommend?
Which is cheaper? Is it possible to go to graduate school OR find a job in either place?

What is expected of me to do upon moving?

Thanks so much.

Please tell me if I wasn't clear on a specific part of my post, or if you would like me to include more information about myself and current position.

I am neither, though I've been to Sweden(Stockholm) and have also read a lot about both places. My opinion:

Scandinavia, especially Sweden. They speak english relatively well...it's like they're something like israel (english speakers in disguise...), though i've heard if you want them to accept you as one of their own you'd need to learn Svenska. The city is also very beautiful and flawlessly clean - one thing that surprised me though: very few black people or asians, i'd expect more mixed environment considering their developed econonmy. Instead you'd see more brown-eyed people who are probably arabs or serbs or even swedes.

England: OK, they all speak english, cheaper than Norway but i have the impression that the brits are the northern version of France(xenophobic and reserved...), they'd probably like you only if you're an american or australian... They also drive on the left and the architecture seems depression to me, if you compare it to the nicely yellow-painted buildings in sweden. I've never been to the uk but friends' opinions and internet info give very accurate information usually.

I am looking for a relaxed place. Not boring but also something new. Lots of nature and outdoors would be nice.

Depends on which specific country/subregion/city you want to move to.

Give me examples?

Depends on your previous studies and work experience.

McGill University, ranked #1 in Canada and #21 in the world. I'm studying Cell Biology.

Depends on what you are planning to do. Work, study, chill?
I don't know yet. It's too early to decide.

Answers are within.

Cheaper: the UK by far, pretty much anything there is cheaper than the same products is in Scandinavia, even the "cheaper" ones Sweden and Denmark.

London is the worlds most expensive city to live in with Oslo as a good number two. Rent of apartment is why London is so expensive, food and other necessary things are cheap. Oslo have cheaper rents but food and other necessary things are much more expensive compared with London.

Go to the UK. Asking whether to go to the UK or Scandinavia after graduation is like asking if you should go to Red Deer, Alberta and Toronto after graduation. There is a lot of smokescreen on the subject that will be thrown your way but trust me, that is the bottom line. (Originally from Europe).

UK, it sound more fun esp London. I have a friend from Norway and she studied in both Norway and London and found London much better to study in.
