According to Wikipedia, Charlie Hebdo had a circulation rate of 45,000 before the attacks. I don't think that is large for a nation with as many people as France. Is it one of those publications whose influence is measured more by who reads it rather than how many people read it?

I don't think there is an American equivalent to CH.

N24 is reporting live from a couple of meters away. Doubt he got killed, police seems way too nervous. 4 allegedly dead.

Frances Infos

Confirmation that the two brothers were killed and their hostage freed. At least one police officer wounded.

Also confirmation that the terrorist at Vincennes was killed and at least 10 hostages freed.

GIGN responsible for the assault - so Gendarmerie Nationale.

But it's still undetermined how many people were killed when the supermarket was assaulted by the hostage taker(s) or even how many of the latter there were. Even if hostages were killed do you really think this was going to get resolved without violence. Sucks that people get killed, but if I'm ever a hostage I'm not going to sit there and think that my life is more important than preventing a potentially much bigger tragedy from occurring.

Normally terrorists don't try to escape like this, probably have a couple million euro's waiting for them.
According to the International Business Times of India, the evidence points to Jews as being behind this attack... FreezePage
