I've heard about Tambov as well, only for a reason that part of my family moved from there to Moscow somewhere at the end of the 1800ies.
But heck if know where it is or what it looks like)))

I know outside of St. Pete and Moscow....

I don't know 10 Russian cities either lol.

Other than Moscow and St Petersburg, I know

Novosibirsk(like the 3rd largest?)
Yekaterinburg(the 4th largest? I like how it's named after a woman)
Kazan(cause a famous model, whom I adore, is from there)
Sochi(because of the Olympics)
Perm(Natasha Poly is from there, one of the most successful models ever)
Vladivostok(used to be a Chinese city then since China was such a ****ing loser, the Russians took it without even firing a bullet lmao), and I had to search this one online as I only knew it by its Chinese name rofl.
