Well, I don't think agressive traffic as a typical feature of driving in southeastern Europe at all, but kind of lazy drivers, red light runners, lackness of lane discipline, creating new lanes, etc.
For instance, my brother was in Malta few years ago, and he said it's not extremely agressive at all, but total anarchy.
Well, we have all those things. On a second note, I think traffic in Spain is very civilised. They drive fast, but not reckless. Here people giving way for the pedestrians are hillbillies or tourists.

I think so. Probably their citizens are the quietest among southern European countries. However, their way of driving is slightly less civilized than Spaniard one.
I vote for Ireland as the most southernized northern european country.
Can't really tell which southern european country is most northernized, but definitely not Portugal.

Maybe not overall, but you Portuguese usually are more quieter than Spaniards and therefore much more quieter than southern Italian or Greeks, which make you a bit "northernized" than the southern Mediterranean countries. In fact I really appreciate such thing, and we Spaniard should follow your behaviour.

I had a chat with a friend from Southern Italy who spent his erasmus year in Dublin. Basically he said that the Irish were very mediterranean to him and completely unlike the Brits. I responded that they were probably similar in character to the Bretons in France which do have a celtic trait and are quite different from typical french people.
Of course these are all very broad generalizations.
