BUDAPEST—Sitting in front of a makeshift shower at a major train station, a 30-year-old Syrian refugee was taking a break last week from his trek across southeastern Europe while he waited for a money transfer from a friend.
The man said he had left his wife, pregnant with twins, to escape the war at home. To save money, he shunned trains when he could, walking more than 1,100 miles across Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia over three months. But although he has registered for asylum in Hungary, a member of the European Union, his goal is to travel on to Berlin in hope of a better life. “I love Syria. The problem is the war. Everyone is dead,” he said.
He is hardly alone. Since the start of the year, Hungary has registered some 120,000 migrants as asylum seekers, according to the government. That compares with 42,000 people in all of 2014.

The same can be said of the Africans that illegally penetrate Europe through Spain and Italy. Most are lean and muscular, don't seem malnourished at all.

Yep, economic migrants. If you even want to call it that. And of course Europe just keeps letting them in, reinforcing the positive feedback loop. It's likely that very few of them are true refugees or asylees. Seems like the governments of these European countries fail to see the big picture. For every 10 who they let in today, there will be 100 or 1000 at their doorstep next year. This problem will not go away. It will become orders of magnitude larger.

Australia has been criticized for its harsh immigration policies but once they stopped letting these economic migrants jerk them around and started deporting them and/or refusing them entry, they suddenly stopped smuggling themselves to Australia. Imagine that.

What "Syrian people" - these "Syrian people?"

"So there you have it: Qatar doing everything it can to promote bloodshed, death and destruction by using not Syrian rebels, but mercenaries: professional citizens who are paid handsomely to fight and kill members of the elected regime (unpopular as it may be), for what? So that the unimaginably rich emirs of Qatar can get even richer. Although it is not as if Russia is blameless: all it wants is to preserve its own strategic leverage over Europe by being the biggest external provider of natgas to the continent through its own pipelines. Should Nabucco come into existence, Gazpromia would be very, very angry and make far less money!
As for the Syrian "rebels", who else is helping them? Why the US and Israel of course. And with the Muslim Brotherhood "takeover" paradigm already tested out in Egypt, it is only a matter of time"

I"m sure you can dig some more on Syrian merce... sorry, "Syrian people" that "had enough of Assad tyranny." Google is your friend.

You can read some new BS on this forum every day. Amazing.

Ah, I see. You must be an expert on this. Funny, though, because a high proportion of refugees from Africa are granted asylum. But, I'm guessing you can make up a story for that, too.

Wrong. The vast majority of migrants are not from Africa.

And the vast majority of migrants will not be granted asylum, because they are migrating for economic reasons. They will be sent back to Eastern Europe, where most came from.

Yep.
You'd think 1 look at areas like rosengård, husby, rinkeby etc would be all that's needed to end the madness, but for some reason I just can't figure out, it just continues.

Is that your only rebuttal? Noticed you had no counter argument to any of my other points. Just because they're granted asylum doesn't mean they are actually fleeing persecution. They can make up any story they want to, because they know the authorities are too overwhelmed with the deluge to allocate any significant resources to investigating and determining the veracity of each of their claims. Heck, some of them undoubtedly are those who are persecuting others. Why do you suppose there have been such an uptick in terrorist attacks in Europe recently? Europe has neither the resources to try every single claim nor to deport the masses of people there illegally.

Moreover, once someone is paroled into a country a number of other paths to legal status emerge, such as marriage to a citizen of that country, so the asylum claim is no longer needed. So no, it's not enough to just say a large majority of people actually get asylum or refugee status. Not saying that there aren't legitimate asylees and refugees, but many are not. But please, don't let me disturb you. You can put your head back in the sand now.
