btw, this post got me thinking of our former prime minister, fredrik reinfeldt. sadly, this wasn't a trolling performance. he was the prime minister between 2006-2014. this pretty much explains why sweden is in the state it is today.

How about securing the borders, and not forcing Europe to be flooded with outsiders? Do you have any "tolerance" for the existing residents of the Continent? Any "tolerance" for their culture, economy, and way of life? I suspect no.
And immigration is going "very well"? 50 bodies found in an Austrian truck? Thousands dead at sea? Terrorists on trains? Food riots in Germany? Fringe right wing parties quickly gaining popularity?
If that's "very well", I would hate to see "very poorly".
Aren't you an immigrant to America? We need to look out for our fellow humans and in doing so we are creating a better Europe. There are horror stories about all kinds of people but we can't blame all immigrants for the actions of a tiny minority. The vast majority of immigrants contribute to our economy and bring a new cultural richness and diversity.

If you ostracize your new countrymen with racism then of course a few will react badly. We need more awareness and understanding not more racism.

agree wholeheartedly. it's kind of funny the "center-right", which was his coalition, friggin doubled the n.o of annual immigrants from 50 000/year to 100 000 under his 8 year in power. now it seems germany is trying to catch up with us on a per capita basis, opening up for 800 000 immigrants this year. things are going to get ugly real soon. sweden democrats was the largest party in a recent gallup poll, but that won't change much. the problems this piece of trash caused is irreversible, like incurable cancer. even if we'd stop all inflow of muslims right now, they'd still out-birth us. you can postpone the death a few years, but the death is certain. everyone that still uses sweden as a kind of liberal role-model needs to get their heads checked.
Has nothing to do with anything. No one said there should be no immigrants in the world. And the U.S. isn't a nation-state with a common cultural history. Someplace like the U.S. or Australia is very different from a France or Germany in terms of national identity.

Also has nothing to do with anything. No reason to "blame all immigrants" but obviously countries have a legal right to control their borders and control who lives in their country. Residency is a privilege, not a right.

These are just feel-good words that are meaningless. There's no indication that a flood of refugees will "contribute to our economy" or "bring a new cultural richness and diversity". Nation-states do not need these things. You don't build a modern economy based on destitute refugees or a flood of gypsies; you build it on skilled labor, progressive social norms and quality services.

No one on this thread supports racism. The idiotic conflating of securing borders with racism has to stop, or Europe is doomed. And these people aren't "new countrymen"; they are essentially foreign invaders.
It's like WW2 is the "gift" that keeps on giving, forever. Euro-guilt over WW2 means that half of Europe thinks that border controls are "fascist" or wanting to keep your heritage is "racist". The sad thing is that newcomers do not give a crap about Euro-guilt and will eventually bury Europe's vast, unmatched cultural, economic and social riches.

We are building a new Europe where ideals of tolerance and diversity are core values. Since you and others don't like it all I can say is enjoy the USA. We aren't going to cater to racism and disdain for other Europeans.

Their population growth are helping to economically support our inherent rights as Europeans like right to housing, right to free healthcare, our rights to free higher education and more. We are broadening our horizons by being introduced to new cultures and that is a good thing for our future. When immigrants have troubles during their journey to Europe that isn't their faults, that is the fault of politicians and racists who refuse to see the value they bring to our countries.

That all sounds great, but Europe is importing the most intolerant group out there; Muslims.
Muslim's first allegiance is to Islam and not to the Infidel host countries they live in. Islam demands Muslims to wage jihad till the whole world is forcefully subjugated to live under the oppressive Sharia Law.
A very small minority of Muslims 'commit' acts of terror, but vast numbers of Muslims 'support' terror in the name of Islam.
Assad is a bloody tyrant, he is bombing and driving people from their homes.
Isis is while brutal not the one leveling entire cities. So Assad is a bad guy, fact. Plus we in the west are not going after him and have given him free pass, so why worried about Assad?
Do you love him, why not move to Syria or do you want Syrians to endure war while you sit comfy?
Here is more on a "bloody tyrant Assad;"
"Christians and other minorities have generally supported Assad's regime in the past because it promoted a secular ideology that was seen as giving minorities a degree of protection."
Oh, and as for that "free pass," - this happened only after objection of Russia, hasn't it?
Otherwise, there would have been "no fly zone," accusations of "use of chemical weapon" - long time ago; you know the drill, don't you?

Thank god I live on an island that they can't get to! Spare us peace!
