This is not even a car forum, so back to the topic:

Volkswagen Confirms Newer Diesel Engines Don’t Cheat in Europe

1) VW will definitely loose its crown. It will take them years to recover(law suits and lawyers lining up)

Lawsuits could force VW to buy back cheating diesels

2) I owned a 98 Mustang Cobra before. I bet you owned a plastic Revell car model (Miata or similar, hence "your obsession" with Mickey Mouse roadsters thinking they are true sportscars)

3) Wagons are practical - only real trait (7 in 10 Passats sold in germany are wagons.) Must be the 10 yr old Germans buying those. Get a clue.

4) Now go play with you Miata plastic ca.. err sports-car.

Not in view of the ridiculous standards the the CARB and EPA set.

So you still believe you owned a sports car and not a pony car? That is funny . It does not matter if you hate the Miata/MX-5. It is still a proper sports car. Again, as explained numerous times before, it is not about the price or engine. An entry level wagon is the soccer mom car of Europe.

Mickey Mouse comments from a Mickey Mouse car fan..

Ford's Mustang Is Officially the American Sports Car to Beat - Bloomberg Business

It's not a sports car..it's a muscle car, a pony car, a boat, an airplane.. koo koo...

Genius, you have no clue about the Passat either(it's not entry level.. the Golf Variant is entry level). But you wouldn't know the difference.

Right, when they started to set such idiotic standards...clean air act? and yes, EP, they left many foreign cars out. I remember those bulky catalytic craps that people removed. It was more of a protectionist measure.

Would you care to elaborate on that statement? It's not clear to me what you mean.

Your pathetic attempt at stereotyping serves only to underline your own inadequacies.

throughout my career i worked with a lot of germans at various companies, some american, some european.

germans were always pointing the finger at what americans do wrong. that i find ironic. their holier than thou attitude.
