Jeez, for a full time explorer he doesn't seem to get out much. The last sentence of item one is dead wrong. I recently bought a dual flush model. Check Lowe's or HD. I might read the rest later.

I have had people (americans) ask me if in "Europe" people use credit cards, the internet, freeways, have free wine refills, have naps etc etc etc.. The funny things is that people asking those kind of questions are not only Midwestern Americans but immigrants from other parts of the world.
As a rule of thumb when you come across someone making claims about "Europe being like this or like" more often than not they are just Americans spending too much time watching bad TV.

Where is Borat when you need him? He should make a similar list about the US.

1. In America, cows are not allowed to wander freely through the towns. And there are no sheep. Where are the sheep?

2. There is no hydrofoil service on the rivers. You'd think at least the Mississippi would have hydrofoil travel.

3. There are no public phone booths.

4. Waitresses are not allowed to wear miniskirts, and you're not allowed to pinch the waitresses.

5. Everything has an admission charge. Museums are expensive. Pay, pay, pay. Everything is for pay.

6. In restaurants they serve you enough food for two people, then give you a little bag to take the extra home with you. They say it's for your dog. Dogs must live very well in America. Their owners bring them restaurant food. But you're not allowed to order a half portion, if you don't have a dog.

7. You have to make your own lunch to take on the planes, but you're not allowed to take anything to drink.

8. There are cameras everywhere, watching you.

9. Even the public toilets are watching you. They know when you stand up, and they flush automatically when you stand.

10. In some hotels, breakfast is free, but they only serve sweets. This must be why so many Americans are diabetic.

11. They hide the Native Americans on reservations.

12. The hotel room keys are not keys, they're plastic cards, like a credit card.

13. The food in the stores is full of chemicals, and the vegetables are all genetically modified. Even the milk and cheese has GMO corn in it, because that's what all the cows eat. There are special stores with sheep and goat milk cheese and sheep yogurt for people who don't want GMO corn in their dairy food.
But where are the sheep? Are they hidden on reservations, too?

(Interesting to try to guess which one or two countries the OP briefly visited before forming these extrapolations - I guess France and/or Italy judging by the mealtime/shop closing/latte comments)

So in Europe:

1.) There is only one way to flush a toilet

2.) Showering is exactly same as in the US

3.) You can leave the hotel with your room key

4.) Things never close down at lunch time

5.) It’s easy to find to go cups for coffee

6.) Dinner takes ten minutes or so to eat

7.) You never have to pay before you order

8.) Public toilettes are always free

9.) Wifi is always free and is always available

10.) You need to tip

11.) Almost all museums are expensive

12.) Ordering a latte never means ordering a milk

13.) Breakfast is never cold cuts, cheese, and bread- Eggs are everywhere for breakfast.

14.) Salads are a big thing

15.) Unlimited selection of foods

16.) Burgers are never well done

Conclusion: Europe = the US
