The discussion regarding this has became more and more vocal as the current Italian government is looking to pass a law which would legalize civil unions and stepchild adoptions. Here's what Italian think on the whole according to recent polls.
Approval of same Sex marriage:
Approval of Stepchild Adoptions:
How do these compare to similar polls or to the opinions on issue who are most common in your country? It seems that most people approve of Same Sex Marriage but the same doesn't got for Step Child Adoptions although it's really silly as the law can be actually applied to 528 families only.
I think in Spain it's a non issue. By the time the government passed the law in 2004 there was some critics (mainly radical right wing Catholics) but no ones talks about that anymore... Even right wing PP didn't change the law when they got into power in 2012.
The majority are against this "multikultihomopropaganda".
That is sad because from beginning that has been a part of human nature. It is not disappearing by hiding, denying and pretending. They are against love and that is as dangerous as terrorism...

This topic really doesn't concern the vast majority of people, but what they don't like is the way this topic is pushed, so many are against it just by defiance.

And what I don't like is how instead being equal, some groups are actually having "special rights" which actually set them into better line than regular folks..
Equality is actually complicated and complex thing when "specialities" are coming in. I am not talking about gays but all "special groups" generally.
What increases hate toward these groups is also that they are actually lifted into a upper level at some things.
This past 29 of June (2015), a 74% (of Spaniards) was in favor of adoption among same sex partners; And for the 88% "What really matters for a kid is to be able to grow on an environment of love and protection and it doesn't matter if that's provided by a couple formed by a man and a woman or a same sex couple, or even just a single person"
