FINLAND! OLDEST INDEPENDENT AIR FORCE IN THE WORLD!!! QUALITAS POTENTIA NOSTRA!!! Ok, we gave the honours to the RAF, as we had only one plane when the FAF was formed. We are happy with the 2nd place in this matter.

USA USA USA... I mean FINLAND WINLAND FINLAND!

And we have the highest-scoring non-German fighter ace in the world; Ilmari Juutilainen with 94 victories.

(I really didn't understand the question.)

Yeah ok. We don't do aircraft anymore, we focus on ships.

Sweden has a well-established aviation industry, much larger than the size of the country should warrant. It's their way to cling onto their history that they were sometimes a great power.

Ukraine has too. Almost all of the Soviet aviation industry was located in Ukraine, and they still herald that tradition.

Yeah, Sweden is a very weird country.

Data from Eurostat about employment in aircraft manufacturing for 2013:

France: 99,000
UK: 87,000
Germany: 75,000
Italy: 30,000
Spain: 19,000
Poland: 15,000

But those figures are not necessarily accurate. For example a manufacturer of plastic parts for cabin interior could be gathered as aircraft manufacturing or as plastic manufacturer. But overall I think the figures make sense. Data for Sweden weren't available, because of concealment reasons.

France has the biggest aircraft industryin Europe by far with only engineers and high technicians.
Airbus is much more French than anything else. Unfortunately, France has sold to Germany 15% of Airbus three years ago to make sure both countries had the same %.
But the committe executies, CEO's etc are French.
There are also Dassault (23 000 employees), Thales (62 000 employees), Safran (70 000 employees), Stelia, SNECMA, Creuzet, DGA etc...
