Don't you have a saying which goes like "stay low as the grass"? .
it is not very popular saying...
and the right sayind is "to be quieter than grass and below the water"
Humility and acceptance is one of the strongest feature of Russians.
Russians believe in the power of soul and they believe in something more great than a man could be.
Poland and Turkey have strong leaders and are not bullied by anyone. In fact Russia is powerless against either, because they are part of the global community, and an attack on either would bring a swift end to Russia.
And the fact that Putin is a "strong leader" doesn't mean he's isn't also a murderous tyrant.
who are the "global community" you guys keep talking about? Do you mean a handful of western countries (and smaller countries which are basically in their pockets)?
I am really sick of the word "global community" as if it represents the entire world. It represents neither a majority of world population or a majority of number of countries. Just a few rich countries talk on behalf of the world, and that's it.
And global norms are decide by a small number of countries who think the world should function based on their preferences. Was that a democratic process to determine what global norms as? The UN itself is not a democracy as far as I know. It is just a few big guys running the show, why pretending it is anything global? Plus, do many of America's illegal wars adhere to "global norms"? Why in those cases it doesn't matter any longer?

Funny to see that you think Poland and Turkey have strong leaders. What's their name and what did they achieve?
Murderous tyrants or not, it really matters to those who care. I guess it is fine for the US to murder countless civilians overseas with its drones - well as long as it is democratically decided, guess there is no murderous tyrant, just a murderous country.

I don't understand the question. Whether or not you personally know the leader's names and their achievements has nothing to do with with with whether or not they are strong leaders. Poland, especially, isn't exactly a high profile global power.
The fact is that Erdogan and Szydlo are known as strong leaders. Both very flawed (in fact Erdogan is a jerk, almost as bad as Putin) but both have been very forceful in advancing their countries' interests (and neither could be touched by Russia).
If "murderous tyrant" were a Wikipedia entry, Putin would probably be the accompanying picture.
He is indeed murderous, and responsible for deaths of tens of thousands, and indeed a tyrant, as leader-for-life, with total control over the state apparatus, and no accountability whatsoever.
But if he would say that he feels himself as a woman...
I wouldn't brag about being homophobic, but I guess this type of hatred is the norm in Russia today. Very sad.
