Whenever Spain comes in some post, 100 false nicks authored by Cheesehead Van Damme appear immediately. The entity went from being furiously "Flemish" and "antimed" to Andalusian. Next, she (supposing "it" has genre) will become Finnish or Burgundian.

Ariete, women here are not pleased with themselves, they have yet to assimilate they are of legal capacity. Those born in democracy are even worse. Latin American and Slavic women are making inroads in the chicken scoop here as men look for women that are pleased with being a woman and don't emulate men. Those women might have the reputation of being "gold diggers", but Spanish women are not only gold diggers...they have a cohort of lawyers and politicians behind.

Asian women are not very popular, as you see in some European countries.

I don't want a submissive stupid bot.

Well, anyway, Germany wins hands down currently. The job market is completely different, and the culture shock is small. But I like Spain a lot, so hope it improves.

Not submissive, but women have to be women.
I believe that Spain is the country growing faster in the EEC.
The problem with employment in Spain is that the job market does not match with academic curricula.
Too many lawyers, too many "philosophers"....
There's a great demand for engineers, specialized technicians,,,in other words, too many people studied useless degrees fleeing from maths..so there are more lawyers in Spain than in the US...and of course, most don´t find jobs.
There are also a very strong class prejudice against working in "diminishing jobs". A generation has been overpampered by parents that had to work in two or three jobs at the same time. So you have those "royalty minded" youngsters refusing jobs in hostelry in their own cities and towns..and working as badly paid waiters in London...
Then you have doctors, there are more doctors per capita than in any other country in the world.

Ha, I see that Spain is winning by a huge difference, actually most of the people who commented here voted for Spain.

Spain improving? Bro you are not talking about Mexico. Yes, all of the countries can improve to better, but Spain is actually very, very good. I mean, from the way you said it, I took it like, poor Spain, needs to recover/improve, Spain is no Greece, just the region of Madrid has more GDP than all of Greece lol haha! Actually the GDP before the crisis has been recovered, Spain is the 2nd country in growth in the Eurozone for the 2nd year in a row, the unemployment made the biggest decrease in the history of the Spanish statistics in 2016 and in 2017 is going down too (is decreasing since late 2014).

Take account that:

- Germany has more than 4 million people with minijobs earning 400€ per month and they don't count as unemployeds.

- Spain gives the minimum aid of 426€ per month to unemployed people (subsidio de desempleo) plus other welfare and aids depending on the region.

Most unemployed people from Spain are non qualified workers, while in Spain is estimated to be more than 3 million unemployeds without legal contracts, and 99% of those workers are obviously non qualified, 95% in the sector of the agriculture.

Most high qualified jobs (university degrees) have a really low unemployment rate (5-6% or less) and some ones even ~1%, like Computer Engineering...

En 2020 en España harán falta casi dos millones de trabajadores cualificados | Economía | EL MUNDO

in 2020, Spain will need almost 2 million qualified workers to fulfill all of the available jobs. Actually there is an incredibly high demand of qualified workers with native level of English in many parts of Spain.

Paro: España necesita medio millón de expertos en informática más de los que puede aportar. Noticias de España

in less than 4 years, Spain will need 500.000 more Computer Engineers in comparison to the ones which graduate every year in Spain.

Spain will need mass immigration with studies / high qualified immigration in the next 4-5 years. Take account that Spain is actually the 8th country in the world with the biggest amount of immigrants, but, most of them are non qualified which came in the economic boom. The things have changed, Spain now needs qualified workers, there is high official unemployment for non qualified works (although at least half of that unemployment is not really unemployed but working without contract, I can put many sources if you want to show you the proofs) but not for qualified works...

Of course in Germany the wages are higher. But not that much, in net € per month how much is the median net German wage compared to the median net Spanish wage? 500€ more per month?

I prefer 99999 times to live with 500€ less per month in Spain rather than living in Germany. Compare the prices, quality of life, lifestyle, climate, leisure... I take Spain, thanks.

How many of those 4 million people are students and voluntary part-time workers? The Spanish unemployment rate is still more 4x higher than the German one by ILO standards.

So?

So it is ok to have lots and lots of unemployed people as long as they are "non qualified workers"? Great attitude.

The same is true in pretty much every developed country in the world.
In 2015 only 69% of Spanish university graduates were employed, compared to over 90% in Germany. Nothing to brag about I would say, even if it has improved since then. I wonder how many of those are on temporary contracts. File:Employment rates of recent graduates (aged 20

As in Italy, there's an important pocket of submerged economy.
Official figures are not for real, thanks God.
If official figures were for real, we would have a Civil War.

I don't believe that "studying math" is a matter of "free choice." If it were, tonnes of people would have chosen technical studies/professions over being a "lawyer."
You have to be born with those abilities, and it looks like those abilities are prominent the most in males of Northern European descent (Russians including.)
And that's really the only major thing that sets Northern Europe apart from Southern Europe.

Isn't that one of the main reasons Catalonia wishes to secede from Spain?
