How is life in Innsbruck, Austria? I'm looking to possibly move there from Prague. I've lived in Prague many years but wanting to be closer to the Alps (snowboarding, hiking, cycling, mountain activities). Anyone here live in Innsbruck? Thx

Are there any live Austrians on this forum? I have found out Austria is right along the best ones economically in Europe.
Maybe even number one first when considering the amount of people, geographic relevance, lower tax rates, and exceptionally rational cost of living.
Although, I don't know what the monthly renting costs are. That is the only factor remaining that is quite obscure to me.
One of the top rank major towns in the entire Alps in any collective range of countries. Relaxing, especially in the outskirts for residential. To get away from the tourists, and crowds.
For what it is worth, Numbeo says Innsbruck (I love my 2 days there for a business meeting) is twice the cost of Praha.

Innsbruck is a real winter ski resort, in my opinion, this says it all, there are no industrial enterprises, agriculture, IT companies offices and the like. The city's economy is connected exclusively with tourism and sports. My sister with her family bought a property in Innscruck, they are going there every winter and they are absolutely delighted with the views and coziness of the city.

Not twice really, but about 38% more expensive.
My brother studied there for a year. He liked it a lot. Although many years ago, the town didn’t change that much since.
I don’t it’s just a winter location. Lots of things to do in summer too. Its proximity to Italy is an added bonus.
