I went to school in Grenoble. Beautiful place and lots of facilities available because the Olympics were held there twice.

You can go almost anywhere on the train!

Absolutely! And while you're at it, just travel up and down the 'Route de vin' and explore the various wines on the region! St. Hippolyte, Rorschwihr, Ribeauville, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Guebwiller and even stop for cheese in Munster!
