Too bad you don't want to know anything about Texas. My husband is from Germany and we probably could have helped you out.
But I'm sure you still will get a response from someone who speaks German and is living in Mississippi.
If not Torsten, just post your questions in English, even if it won't be a perfect English. I'm sure people will know what you mean and will reply on your post.
Good Luck and Schoene Gruesse nach Deutschland
The simple question which I have: When I have a "Green Card", i am Welcome as a foreigner german , or are not better ?
How big is the hostile against foreigners ?
Please do not understand false my question. In Germany, i must have concerns about my children, so I do not want to come to a place where I renewed fears about my children, just because they are German.

Hostility against Germans ? I really have never even heard of anyone who feels this way or even notices one way or the other . The war was over 65 years ago, after all.

I have never heard of anyone here being hostile towards foreigners and certainly not towards Germans. Everyone admires Mercedes, BMWs, the autobahn, etc. America is friendly and Mississippi society is perhaps the most polite in America.
I thank you for the answers. That gives me hope.
In Germany, I will not miss much
except: Beer and "Autobahn" :-)
It is an incredible feeling, with 220 or more Km/h (= translated 140 or more Miles) to drive down the street.
