How do YOU, personally, stay in shape - or get there?

I ride my bike and walk a lot. I haven't stepped foot in a "gym" for exercise purposes and don't want to.

Dance Dance revolution. If you are good, you can burn lots of calories. Im overweight and im sure I could fix it easily if I had DDR and some dumb bells. It would also help if my wife was more active.

I have DDR but I haven't danced in a while.

I stay in shape by not eating junk and not over eating.

So many possibilities not included in this poll. You didn't even include an "other" category.

I know people who do yoga. Or kayaking. Or climbing.

I swim.

Boxing 4 days per week--consists of 12 - 15 rounds (3 minutes each with a 1 minute rest in between) or bagwork--heavybag/speedbag/double-end bag, jump rope, shadow box, mitt work, light sparring. Warm up with push-ups, crunches, stretching prior.

Running two days per week, between 2 - 3 miles.

Bike riding as weather permits

Walking

Circuit training/P90X one day per week to gauge progress and fitness/endurance level.

The key here is also to pay attention to signs that your body needs more rest. I know myself enough to know when I need to skip a day or two to allow my body to recuperate. This is especially important as you get older.

I also do some recreational biking and hiking when time and weather permits. But I don't count that as things I do to stay in shape.
