I'm thinking about trying out for small college teams or atleast intramural next year when I start. What are the best ways for conditioning myself?

depends on the sport... what is your experience level in the given sport as well?

I have a friend playing D1 baseball and the workout he got from his school is an absolute joke. He always tries to tell me how good it is, but i've given up trying to convince him it's ****. One day he has to run 2 miles before a leg workout consisting of (in this order) leg extensions, leg curls, and after all that heavy front squats. But i digress.

It really depends on which sport you're thinking about... If you tell us that i can give you more information

Second the statement that the best workout depends on the sport. I would also suggest getting in touch with coaches for the sports you are considering, and asking what they recommend for conditioning.

JRider, wow, not impressed with the workout they put your friend on. Surprising that they wouldn't have that covered better, especially since it's D1. D1 college sports are usually big-time even at schools that don't contend for national titles.
