What is your favorite pull-up/chin-up bar for home or office use? I'm in the market for one...

Alternately... what is your favorite piece of home workout accessory that you can't live without (excluding exercise machines and weight sets)?

Looking for ideas to expand my home workouts!

I would guess the Perfect Pullup ranks pretty high on the scale. Ive used one once or twice and really liked it. I used a non Perfect Pullup before and it felt really poorly made. I actually put together a pullup system in the garage (even though my half rack can be used to do pullups). I will be ordering one of these puppies soon:

Hmmmmm.......... I would have to lump kettlebells and dumbbells in "weight set" category, but you said to exclude that. Oh, I would say my Nike+ for the iPod and a good jump rope. Jump ropes can be used by anyone and if you do it properly, it is low impact.

Wow thanks! I just watched the Perfect Pullup vids... Did it torque your elbows too much with that rotating motion or did it feel pretty easy?

Actually if you have a favorite weights/equipment feel free to share! I guess I can always save the info for later after I move to a bigger place that's not on the top floor.

I was born with my gear:

All I need is a door frame.

My favorite gear is my magnetic resistance bike.

Great point! That is soooo true, people almost never think about finger strength. I used to be a musician playing 1-2 hours a day and my fingers/palmar muscles were pretty strong and flexible. Then I stopped playing and my hands became prone to cramping and muscle pain secondary to disuse. I recently started doing stretches and finger resistance exercises with good results. If you ever watched the show Ninja Warrior I think a lot of those elements of the obstacle course rely solely on finger grip. It's very practical!

I really like the idea of a mag resistance bike or a spinning bike but have no room for it. Right now I only have vertical space so I am using a Versaclimber. If only that allows you to work out your finger grip, then it might be more useful for people who do rock climbing...
