I know it's an old thread, but anyone can refer to this.
I've belonged to a gym for eons. My ideal personal routine was 45-60 min of cardio (elliptical or treadmill), then another 20-30 of various individual equipment.
I finally got a PT one year & I loved it better than I ever thought I would! I preferred a male trainer because I think they work you harder, but I realize there's those diehard women trainers out there who are in the whole bodybuilding world/competitions, etc.
It was pricey, so I could only keep it up for about 6 mos, but they had me doing things I never would have done on my own. I lost like 20-25 pounds.
