Since I've quit drinking I've been running/jogging and walking every other day, alternating each (about 6 days a week now) and doing Pilates everyday too. It's been really good. I've always worked out, but it was sporadic because of the weekend I would go out with friends and party. So, since then I've gotten really into it a lot these days.
So, what is your exercise routine during the week??
we have a daily exercise thread , you are all welcome to join us
we post what workout we have done each day. We share exercise ideas.
It is a great motivation and the benifit is we have a lot of fun
I walk 3 miles every morning and just joined a gym and take 3 to 4 spinning/cycling classes each week with either work on the machines or water aerobics mixed in .
I bike to work and back every day (15 miles), sometimes longer if I feel like it. As soon as I get home from work, I do push ups and sit ups (sets of 15, until I can't do any more).
I couldn't imagine not doing anything physical. If I stop exercising for as little as a month, I have trouble sleeping, my knees start hurting, and I seem to get in a much worse mood...
I feel trapped and caged... is there anything I can do while sitting behind a desk at work all day? hehe. I don't have people constantly sitting next to me, or walking past me - but I don't necessarily want to be caught on the floor doing stomach crunches when someone walks in. /cheers
I cycle five days a week. It's not really an exercise 'routine' as such because I've been doing it for years for the enjoyment of it but it's still great for keeping your fitness up. I usually do between 8-10 miles per day (no stopping!) but the area I live in is VERY hilly so it seems like a lot more than that.
Also I go ice-skating two or three times a week as I'm going to start playing ice hockey soon and I need to stay in practice!
