I'm having a heck of a time finding some decent but cheap headphones. I really don't care much for sound quality although want to be able to hear the music. THe problems I have are more about them staying in or on my ears. Bought some cheap sony's that wrap around your ear but even those dont stay in!

So what does everyone workout/run in?

iPod earphones seem to work best for me when working out/running.

I have some cheap ($20-25) Sony earphones that are attached to a thing that goes over my head. It's all very thin and lightweight, but they stay on great. I hated the things that just stuck in my ears because they were always falling out and those that hooked onto my ear were uncomfortable. These work fine.

I use Sennhauser CX400 II canal earphones while running and they're fantastic. I hate the ones that come with the iPod/iPhone. These I have no trouble with them falling out or anything. They're around $50-60, but totally worth it in my opinion.

While they sound great, they just don't stay in my ears. They won't stay in just sitting on a plane! My ear hole must be smaller or larger than most!

Default running headphones

I like these ones. About $20 at most stores. I use them with my iPod Shuffle. The squishy things help them stick in your ears. Careful of using them in areas with traffic because you won't be able to hear any outside noise.

I swear by the Sony S2 sport headphones. Not only do they stay on, they do have great sound (though you don't care about that).

I simply cannot wear earbuds. They will NOT stay in my ears.

Cut a nylon loop from a stocking leg and wear it like a headband (not 80's style..lol but classic) It will keep the hair out of your face and you can hook the loops on those instead of your ears. Its also better because you can be aware of what is going on around you too as you don't have loud music really cutting everything out. I HATE earbuds...They are only good for whipping people! They never stay in for me either and I feel like its kinda gross.

They don't stay in my ears either. I thought it was just that my ears are too small for them, but apparently a lot of other people have issues with them staying in place.

I've taken to just going without music when I workout outside. I feel better when I can hear what's going on around me.

Default Best earbuds

You should definitely check out http:yurbuds - Ergonomically Brilliant, Acoustically Driven, Utterly Determined to Stay in.
They are custom fit earbud enhancers that won't ever fall out when you're running or working out. Plus they are designed to avoid the pain points of the ear so they are super comfortable and they sound great. Only $20 too.
