I find walking on pavement much better on my feet vs taking a walk down a gravel road.

No, but if it does, stick with the pavement. Why make things more uncomfortable than they need to be?

Keep on walkin'!

Gravel roads don't bother my feet, but it slows me down. When speed walking I need pavement or a track.

I can handle gravel/unpaved surfaces when I am hiking or walking at a moderate pace on a trail etc.

I have a.bad leg, so yes, u even vfou d, in general, bothers me. Especially voting down bill on dirt/gravel. My bad foot slips, a d I fall. I compensate with proper shoes and a custom brace, that allows me to veg traction on the inside edge of my foot. Travel on thin soled shoes hurts too. I may as well put the shurds in my shoe.

I think that proper shoes a d socks make all the difference for working on gravel.

True. Less traffic on gravel road is main reason I like that route better. My feet doesn't seem to agree and I wear decent walking shoes, usually Skechers. I recently got a blister or callous from walking on gravel road. Never had that issue when taking the pavement route.

I walk/hike about 5 miles 4x p/week on our back roads where I live. Roadmix (dirt) and some gravel here and there. About 1,000ft elev gain and loss. When I'm in the office I hit the city park which has a paved hiking trail- usually I cover 3.5 miles in an hour lunch.

Personally I find pavement to be more harsh than dirt/gravel. It's a constant pounding vs. a varying terrain. Hard to describe, but I know my feet actually hurt on pavement..

I wear trail shoes most of the time (Columbia or Merrell's), but I also wear jungle mocs.
