Mine is always very low, esp at night. Just took it now and its 39.
It ranges from 37-46. I once was taken to hostiptal for an irregular heart beat (which thankfully was nothing to worry about). The machine they hooked me up to, constantly beeped, as my pulse rate was too low for it.
So would have the nurses keep coming in to see why it was going off so much, until eventually they removed it.

What is yours?

Depends on my caffeine intake.
Cfree= 65-75
coffee= 75-85

It rarely goes over 80 though anymore since I do more cardio on a regular basis despite the same caffeine intake. I thought that was a really cool accomplishment of measurable internal fitness. It felt better than losing the last 10lbs.

Think it depends on your age and amount of physical activity. If you do a lot of cycling or running your heart muscle gets bigger and does not have to do as much work (like beating). When I was in my 20's and training 300+ miles a week on my bike my waking heart rate was around 40, 15 minutes later it was around 43-44 and the remainder of the day in the upper 40's. In my 40's now and still moderately active and my heart rate is in the 50's.

One of my old teammates on my bike racing team had a waking heart rate of around 35 and it stayed in the low 40's all day long.

Mine is high, around 70ish during the day but my husband was a runner and his is still very low. He was taken by ambulance because of a kidney stone attack one time. His heart rate was so slow they assumed he was on drugs. They kept asking me if he did drugs because his heart rate was only 38 while screaming in pain and passing the stone.
I thought it was quiet insulting seeing he was just really fit. Go figure. They learned later that he wasn't a drug addict.
Still to this day I lay on his chest and it's a little creepy. I wait and wait for the next beat. ha ha

How is the heart health in your families? We have heart problems and even when fit in the past my heart rate never got really low.
