WeightLifting has always been my favorate exercise since i was 21 when i first joined the YMCA and was skinny at 6'3 tall and 150 lbs.
Although i'm not into BodyBuilding like the younger days but just something about pumping iron that gets the Endorphins flowing. When i cannot workout do to travel or such for a week or so and when i finally get back to the gym and see the weights and benches and machines and etc... i just feel great. Its something i'll do in my 90's or 100's if i'm alive then.
I always think of Jack Lalane at 93 and still working out 6 days a week and can still do 500 pushups a day....

So true, your post inspired me to start another thread. Thanks!
My wife and I are trail runners. We run in the hills, and we try to get 25-30 miles each week.
We also love to hike the desert. We just got back from prowling around Joshua Tree NP for three days.
Our favorites for hiking are Moab...Arches and Canyonlands can't be beat, Bryce...we absolutely love to hike in Bryce, and Zion, the Chiricaua mountains in Arizona....hard to get to places but well worth the effort.
In addition we hike up mountains...the San Gabriels, San Bernardinos, the Sierras, and San Jacintos for the most part.
The west and the southwest are truly the best for anyone who wants to prowl around gorgeous deserts and mountains. The frontier saloons are also great watering holes.
I'm a gym rat- love the bikes, especially on Mondays when I can plug into the TV and get all the game recaps. It makes the time fly by, then off to the weights.
Tae kwon do workout 2 hours /3 days per week. Consists of running, full body stretching, situps, pushups, and repetitious variety of kicks, punches, blocks, holding stances, about 22 forms, shadow fighting, breathing exercises. I also ride a stationary recumbent bike for an hour/ 3 days per week. I burn about 400 calories with each ride and keep my metabolic rate high. Great stuff!
but I bet that HITT on the bleachers will give you killer legs [quads &hamstrings] in no time.
