Ground to overhead = moving the bar from the floor to over your head by any movement you choose, power clean and press, clean and jerk, snatch, whatever.
Yeah...I had a denitst appointment at noon so I sorta played hooky and took the entire afternoon off. I just got back from the gym where I did some interval training on the treadmill: 1/4 mi. bursts at about 7 mph. Ten sprints in all with a two-minute rest period in between each one. Then I did some very light weight work; just doing some upper-body sets at a low weight I could do 12-15 reps of.
I like running outside, normally, but it's been blazing hot here in Austin for the past several weeks. So, until it cools down--or I manage to get-up and run at around 5 a.m. when it's still relatively cool (fat chance!) it's the 'mill for me, amigos.
I didn't sleep last night so I'm taking today off.
It hasn't been a bad week though.
Monday I did 1 hr of Yoga & 1 hr of Boot Camp kick boxing. Tuesday 1 hr Personal Training session (lower body/ abs) & 1 hr aqua aerobics. Wednesday I did the Tread Mill workout class (interval training; hills and sprints). I am a bad runner and all the others in the class race so this is very challenging for me.
I've also been walking back and forth to our house from our rental all week to meet contractors which is 1.75 miles each way.
Tomorrow the plan is to take a Zumba class and run 20 minutes.
