Even when I keep to a clean diet and consistent exercise program, the addition of whey protein seems to be key to getting some of that bellyfat to disappear. Just my experience.
im not really sure why someone would want to pay more for an inferior product. why pay $10 plus per pound for a blend of proteins including whey concentrate when you can get whey isolate for $8 a pound.
I doubt that its the whey that is helping you lose your stomach fat. More than likely its your diet and/or the exercises that you do.
Whey is pretty much my standard choice in protein. One needs to note though, that not all whey protein is equal. I prefer Optimum Nutrition Whey and Muscle-Tech whey. ON tastes much better though. Whey is my standard post workout drink. I also have a bit of it mixed with casein protein pre-workout.
Actually, whey protein has been proven to be beneficial for fat loss.
I agree with you about ON....one of the best brands IMO.
also, one may consider powdered nonfat milk. it can be had for 3.75 a pound in a store by me and it should be great pwo, can also add a little protein powder to it for a better protein/carb ratio.
