I agree....a 15 minute walk each day would be a giant step!

Hate to sound cliche, but listen up, fatties.

Don't make New Year Resolutions for losing weight. It comes only once in 365 days, but you can get your fat asses off the couch right now, put your jogging shoes on (yes, do you feel it when tying the laces?), get out of the door and jog or hit a gym.

*F word used merely for the inspiratory effect, not being pejorative.

If my level of fitness was so low that a 15 minute walk suffices for physical exertion, I would quit life.

Exactly. LOL

That's not even warm-up worthy. I wanna whack the heads of people in the back, if they recommend taking a long walk to lose weight. Truth is, it's a mere bodily function and nothing burn-worthy unless you walk up a slope for 10 miles.

That's the norm in my culture. If you're fat, they will gladly tell you. I'm pretty much the same way, but I'd rather not offend someone in real life, so am somewhat polished about it.

You're Asian too, so I can tell you share the same culture trait.

Don't be so dismissive of walking. I lost 50 pounds in about 5 months just doing a low carb diet and walking 6-7 total miles a day (including around the house). I now ride my bike 10-20 miles a day and am in great shape but starting slow and building over the long haul yielded excellent results in a relatively short amount of time.
