I noticed a bit of a problem today while in the shower. My right side (dominant side) is much larger than my left. I work out both sides equally, yet the muscles in my left shoulder/arm/forearm/wrist/pectoral are noticeably smaller than my right side.
Is there any way to even out both sides? Am I lifting incorrectly?
don't lift anything heavier with your dominant side than you can with your weak side. Your weaker side will catch up. You might get some atrophy in the stronger side for the time being, but the imbalance will go away.
But seriously, if that were the case, my body would have been disproportional a long time ago. It's recently started to look like this since I began a stronger weight lifting routine.

Thank you for the tip. I was going to do this but I didn't know if it was a bad idea.

no problem,
I have to do this with lunges and pistol squats cuz my left leg isn't quite as strong or balanced. Like I said you might see some regression as far as strength goes but then things catch up and you can start building again, equally this time. LOL

Just wanted to say that this is the method I used after an injury. You could easily see muscle in my one arm and the other was well...like flabbity chicken breast meat or something. LOL. And about 1/2 smaller on the forearm. It took my about a year to get evened out. I don't gain muscle on my forearms easily. My bicep muscle seemed to even out earlier. Could of just been my workouts though too as I was using pushups to even out.

What did you injure? Come to think of it, I broke my clavicle (collar bone) a few years ago and my muscles have always been a bit off since then. Does that have something to do it?

I get this. Im thinking the OP should switch to the HammerStrength ISO machines. This should help. Gotta love the Hammerstrength machines.
