I'm confused about the bolded part, Cap. Why do you care about the scales if you look good? Are you competing in any activity that separates you out by weight class?

just because i was hoping to maintain some size and get more cut as time goes along. i see now the easiest route to the cuts i want is to give up size. but as the pounds drop, i feel im giving up more than i wanted. but size isnt really the priority so then comes diet and how strict i want to be.

one thing im considering is going back to normal and then cutting down as summer closes in. now that i know how easy it is to cut in a short time frame, i may just do it as beach time arrives and more people can behold my glory.

Don't let him deuce you NJ, he'll start talking about "metcon" and you'll be doing 100 snatches in one go in no time. Tom foolery.

He'll have you do the new WOD, "Mercy"

....

Run a marathon, then directly afterwards compete in a powerlifting competition, then the day after (on an hour sleep), do a triathlon.

Ok, im done. .hah

LOL Tommy, have you been drinking?

@Cap - I see, so you like *some* of what you see in the mirror (increased definition/lower bodyfat), but not all of what you see (reduced overall muscle mass). Is that right? I get that.

5'10 @ 190. I am a med-large frame guy (32" waist, big legs lol) and I can run 12-15 miles at my current weight. I am not sure my body type can go lower than 180-185 right now, so that is my target.

I am 5'10", 39 yrs old, male, and am at 163 lbs. In 2010, I had dropped from just over 200 lbs, down to an unhealthy 139 lbs by Feb. 2011, and slowly gained some weight back through last year eating healthy, backed with extensive weight training. I am happy with where am I at, and am looking to maintain (which I have been doing now for the past 4 months).

I would recommend sprinting for keeping muscle, yet losing fat. Do them on a hill to reduce chances of pulled hammies and joint impact. Keep them in the 50-100m range. Do 10 with full recoveries, twice per week for a few weeks and you'll be happy with the changes in your body.

My husband is 5'10, 168 pounds. I'm almost 5'9 and about 136 pounds. I never weigh myself but I've weighed the same for 20 years within 2-3 pounds.
